Hi, this is Andrea.

This April I presented at WCNC (Wireless Communications and Networking Conference) in Kuala Lumpur. It has been my first time in Asia and my first experience as a session chair which means means studying 4-5 papers and preparing questions in advance. Kuala Lumpur was really hot and humid. I spent most of my spare time walking and sweating visiting around. I definetely wasn't expecting so many things, such as the asian version of Uber but with red-lights tracking: Grab; the amazing KLCC (Kuala Lumpur City Center) skyscapers,

No like, seriously, I was in San Francisco 2 weeks before and I can tell you that SF looks really, really old compared.

the odd stink of durians all around the city,

I discovered that people from China do come in KL to get a special type of durian, that grows only in Malaysia

the fact that it is a left driving country then I remembered that it was an English colony, and the almost obsessive order Asians follow when boarding trains/metros: there are queues to the right and left of the doors, and the middle is kept clear so people can get off easily (we must import this in Europe).

The paper I presented is Incremental Vision Transformers for Zero-Day Attack Detection in NextG Wireless Networks, with Emilio Paolini, Prof. Valcarenghi and Prof. Andriolli. And I chaired a UAV session mainly based on reinforcement learning techniques for drone swarms task scheduling.

Finally, this is a photo of me visiting Batu Caves. Hope next conference will be reachable with less than 3 flights and nearly 24hrs of flight P.P .
